Refund Policy
In short
14-day money-back guarantee on every paid plan. No questions, no forms. Email hello@screenqa.com from your account email and we'll refund the most recent charge in full.
1. Who this applies to
This policy applies to anyone who purchases a paid ScreenQA subscription (Solo or Pro). It is offered by Enigma, the company that operates ScreenQA, and is processed through Paddle.com Market Ltd. ("Paddle"), our Merchant of Record. By using ScreenQA you agree to both this policy and Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms.
2. Free plan
The Free plan is free. There is nothing to refund. If you have a Free account, you can stop using it at any time — see §7.
3. 14-day money-back guarantee
If you upgrade to a paid plan and decide within 14 days that ScreenQA isn't for you, we will refund 100% of the most recent payment, no questions asked.
This window starts on the date of the charge — whether that's your first upgrade or a renewal you forgot about.
4. Refunds after 14 days
Refund requests outside the 14-day window are reviewed case by case. Common reasons we will still refund:
- The service was materially unavailable for an extended period during your billing cycle.
- A billing error on our end (double-charge, charge on a closed account, etc.).
- You were charged for a renewal you clearly hadn't used and you contact us within 7 days of the renewal.
We generally do not refund mid-cycle if you simply want to cancel — your subscription stays active until the end of the period and then ends. See §7.
5. How to request a refund
- Email hello@screenqa.com from the email address linked to your ScreenQA account.
- Include the order/invoice number from your Paddle receipt if you have it handy (it's the fastest path).
- Tell us briefly what you'd like refunded — last charge, all charges in the last cycle, etc. We don't ask for a reason.
We aim to acknowledge requests within one business day and to issue the refund within three.
6. How refunds are processed
Refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method (credit/debit card, PayPal, or other method you used at checkout). Once Paddle initiates the refund:
- Cards: typically 5–10 business days to land back on your statement, depending on your bank.
- PayPal: usually within 1–3 business days.
- Local payment methods: varies — Paddle's confirmation email will give an estimate.
Taxes (VAT/GST/sales tax) collected on the original charge are refunded together with the principal.
7. Cancelling vs. refunding
You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from your account settings inside the ScreenQA app or via the link in any Paddle receipt. Cancelling stops future renewals but is not the same as a refund — your access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for.
If you want both — cancel and get the most recent charge back within the 14-day window — just say so in your email.
8. Chargebacks
If something has gone wrong, we'd genuinely rather hear from you than be hit with a chargeback. Email us first — we're a small team and we respond fast. Chargebacks cost both sides time and may result in your account being suspended while we investigate the dispute.
9. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any statutory right you have under the law of the jurisdiction where you live — for example the 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services under EU consumer law. Where local law gives you more than this policy, the law wins.
10. Contact
